Shepherd Questions

This article is over the connection between the use of Facebook and the practices taught in first year composition classes. Users of Facebook tend to have an understanding of audience and rhetorical situation, or a better understanding of those concepts. This can be useful in teaching students the basics of composition. If the students already have a decent grasp of things like exigence: the reason to talk, rhetoric: the way you get someone to see your point of view, audience: who you are talking to, and rhetorical situation, then they will most likely succeed better in the class. The use of social media networks could assist in the classroom to help teach the concepts of composition.
